Travian is a pinoeer in a new type of gaming called Passive-Multiplayer Gaming.

Meaning that Travian runs in your web browser (nothing to download)  while you  do other things on the internet.   You can check the progress of your village every few hours as a nice break from your daily work.     Over a million people worldwide agree that Travian is Fun!

Ok,  sounds good?   I can basicly play Travian while I work and browse.   But what is the Game About?

We sent three of our crack editoral sqauds to go and start an account each as one of the three starting tribes.   The Romans, the Gauls and the Teutons.       Well to be honest after a week playing Travian,  we had to forcefully remove them from their seats to go and write this article becuase its that FUN.

What you are doing is starting with a small village and managing and allocating resources.   You need to determine how many many workers to allocate to farms and then send the food to the factories where you build your war machines to attack your friends and neighobors.

Well you get the idea.   Travian is lots of strategy and planning and great for people that like their games to involve a good think.    And best of all its ................yup thats right %100 FREE.

The amount of planning and stragetgy that goes into building your village  to a city and then an empire is intelligent and well though tout
Gauls are the Best

Ok, when you start out, you definitley want to start out as the Gaul tribe as they offer the most balanced approach for a newcomer.
I play at work

Travian is great because I go about my days work and just check in once in a while.   The problem solving required to build a productive society, actually trickles over to my real life.
